JOB NAME: Faculty Member, Trauma Education Programs (TCAR)
Ready to leave the hassle of a full-time hospital position, but not ready to give up nursing?
Want more control of your life and time?
Put your trauma expertise and speaking talents to work teaching nursing audiences around the U.S.
TCAR Education Programs–a rapidly expanding, independent, nurse-own educational organization–is looking for top-notch faculty members who are masters or doctorally prepared trauma clinical nurse specialists, nurse practitioners, educators, or program managers. A TCAR Education Programs (TEP) faculty position is a fun and challenging way to share your wealth of knowledge and experience with bedside trauma nurses to promote optimal inpatient care.
Full-time positions involve presenting our 2-day educational program to live nursing audiences around the country 30-50 times per year, providing you ample free time and an opportunity to travel. Occasionally, part-time positions are available (minimum of 12 classes per year.) Faculty members must be very familiar with the needs of nurses and adult patients across the trauma spectrum, particularly during the POST-resuscitation phases of care (OR, PCAU, ICU, Progressive Care, Acute Care, Rehab).
JOB NAME: Faculty Member, Trauma Education Programs, (TCAR)
A TEP faculty position is NOT a teaching opportunity for novices. Instructors must have the educational background, teaching experience, trauma care knowledge, energy, confidence, technical savvy, and stage presence to involve learners and explain complex pathophysiologic concepts, all while single-handedly educating, engaging, and entertaining audiences of 15 to 150 people for two full days.
At TCAR Education Programs we choose only top people and treat them accordingly. Instructors are part of an elite faculty of trauma nursing experts who provide important input into our dynamic curriculum content. Faculty members receive an extensive and rigorous orientation, are well compensated, and form an integral part of the program development team. Our faculty are self-determining, creative, flexible, and resourceful individuals with a taste for travel and adventure.
At TEP, we value and care for our professional instructors. This position does NOT involve sales. Faculty members are compensated based on the number of classes taught. Classes are booked and arranged by TEP. Travel is paid by TEP, and there is a strong TEP office support staff to assist you throughout the entire class and travel process.
